One of my first research projects dealt with the covenant concept. It was executed under the auspices of a so-called center of excellence, assigned by the Ministry of Education and the Academy of Finland, and directed by Professor Heikki Räisänen.
Covenant is a concept central to both Judaism and Christianity. It can be studied in both the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament as well as in subsequent Jewish and Christian literatures. It also serves the modern dialogue between synagogue and church.
In order to assess various approaches to the covenant in the various religious bodies, I developed a particular analytical tool, a concept which I termed covenant path searching.
